howdy, i'm ari
for as long as i can remember, i've been deeply in love with the earth. go figure and all, with the fact i was born and raised on the coastline of north carolina in wilmington, then spent four blissful years in boone where i earned my b.s. in commercial photography.
roaming quiet, reeded marshes and salted damp beaches with my camera in hand was just the tip of the iceberg of the passion that would drive every fiber of my being.
my love for landscapes exploded upon seeing the rolling greens and blues of the appalachian mountains. most of my free time could be found becoming familiar with popular trails, finding the less traveled, and simply finding rock formations and rugged trees on quiet hills i could begin posing my closest of friends with.
i want to help people visually bridge the gap between themselves and whatever landscape they wish to be photographed in. i want to tell their story using natural scenes to emphasize the beauty of themselves and their relationship.
