the people portfolio

I can photograph you anywhere - in the city, in the suburbs, with your family, your partner, or simply on your own. Beauty isn’t confined to one place. It exists wherever we choose to look for it.

But I feel most at home where land and light meet - in the mountains, by the sea, in wide open spaces where the air feels alive. I don’t see the landscape as a backdrop. I see it as part of the story. The wind, the water, the way light moves across both skin and horizon - it all speaks.

We are shaped by the places we stand in. The earth holds its own rhythm, and when we let it, it can move with us. I’m drawn to that harmony - to photographing people not placed in front of nature, but existing within it.

My senior capstone was years in the making, long before I ever arrived in Boone. The photoshoots I did with friends in high school were early steps toward what would eventually become my niche.

What started as a stylized fashion final grew into something more personal. The project centered on the relationship between people and the landscapes around them - how the mountains, light, and open space shaped not only the image, but the feeling within it. I was drawn to how subjects exist within nature rather than separate from it, how environment and emotion can move together in a single frame. The landscape wasn’t just a backdrop; it was part of the story.

It’s still the project I’m most proud of - one that feels honest to both the place that shaped me and the way I approach photography today.

I hold grad sessions close to my heart. The people in this part of my portfolio are women I’ve shared seasons of life with, which makes documenting this milestone even more special.

There’s something powerful about this moment - the pride, the confidence, the joy of everything they’ve worked toward. They show up glowing, ready to celebrate, and it’s such an honor to capture them stepping into what’s next.
